Mr Daniel Wilby FRSC(Urol) | Consultant Urological Surgeon

 

​Mr Wilby is a consultant urological surgeon experienced in general urology and urological oncology and has a sub-specialist interest in bladder cancer and minimal access surgery. His NHS practice is based at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth and since 2014 he has been cancer lead for urology.

 

He completed his surgical training between Wessex Deanery and Guy’s Hospital London and undertook a fellowship at the institute of urology at University College Hospital London.   

 

Mr Wilby has led the development of a robotic surgical programme for bladder cancer in Portsmouth and in 2015 performed the first robotic cystectomy in the region.  His other academic interests include enhanced recovery after major surgery and bladder reconstruction.
